While camping for a few days in an incredible area of Sequoia National Forest, CA, we were greeted one morning by a gorgeous Smerinthus Sphinx Moth (3rd photo). I just had to try to replicate its beauty in sterling silver. I enscribed "Keep close to nature's heart" on the back of this pendant (a perfect quote by John Muir) as a reminder of the amazing surprises and beauty nature has in store for us and the preservation we need to prioritize.
I found this incredible agate while hiking through the landscapes of the Mojave Desert in California, cut it, hand polished it, and took inspiration from the majestic beauty of mother nature to hand silver smith it into this gorgeous, one-of-a-kind, sterling silver statement necklace.
